more inspiration...

I've learned that I love a room with drama.  I've been through so many redecorations trying to create
a vibe that would make me calmer or more aggressive. (It always depends on my mood of the year)
The bottom line is I'm only happy when it's crazy dramatic.  I think....  So here's a couple of photos I
found that I wanted to share.  I have a few more to post tomorrow or the next day.
Ps.  My fav of the two is the botttom.

a little quick drama!

The gorgeous photo above and directly below are photos of the Vanity Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas'
ladies room (up) and men's room (below).  Not sure where I snagged the bottom photo but I loved
the drama.  I really think that I can live in  these photos and would love to have some of these
elements in my home.

my weekend!

My honey had a meeting in Houston Friday so I decided to tag along.  Maybe it's all the Palm trees
that I so miss from my time living in California but I LOVE Houston.  We stayed at the Omni Hotel
Galleria Mall.  I loved the beautiful and busy pool and the hotel itself  just had a lot going on
within so I was vibing off  of the energy.  AND then off to Galveston Island we went for what
turned into an overnight stay.  To our surprise, Galveston has "upgraded" tremendously!  I
couldn't get  a room at Hotel Galvez (a Wyndham Resort) but I was able to get in to the last room
available at Four Points Sheraton.  I'm not proud to say that I had to sneak my doggie, Maxie, in
because they (unlike hotels in Southern California) don't allow dogs anywhere on the island except
for La Quinta which was absolutely not happening.  Anyhow, there are so many new hotels and
restaurants on the island and there is even a new pier similar to Santa Monica's Pier (Bubba
Gump's and Roller Coasters included).  Tons of  new bars.  It has  always been my dream to open
a small boutique hotel on that island.  I wish my hubby didn't have to get back to Dallas for work. (sigh)  I
would  have loved a few more days but there's always tomorrow!

inspiration everywhere...

Let's talk about my wardrobe.  It's extremely extreme.  I'm either totally grunge or totally sleek.  My
everyday look is definitely tee shirts and jeans with heels (of course) and when I'm on the town it may
still be the former or it may be a tuxedo.  I love tuxedos!  Anyhow, I'm inspired by this photo and
those gorgeous jewels.  Who doesn't love Rodarte and are those jewels Dannijo?

This Felder Felder sofa is to "dye" for simply because I love tie dye when it's done this way.  I tie dye (with bleach) all of my jeans when they start to fade and I've been wanting a grey and white tie dyed sofa.  I shall comission someone to do such a thing for me... I hope.

These are the perfect stilletos.  Nothing to be said.  You know a woman
means business with a shoe like this.

I just find fashion stylist Gisele from Heights of Fashion to be so inspiring.  I loved her most with
long hair as seen in this photo and this outfit is so what I'm feeling now even though this
photo is so couple of  years go.

Love. Love.  Love the pendent lighting!  I also love the colors but I'm not crazy for the table.

bohemian, sexy, and serene living spaces!

I'm in the process of redecorating my small rented 3 bedroom house in the country that I may only
have about 6 more months of living in, but I have to redecorate or I will end up jumping off the top of
it.  Why now?  Well, I'd been trying to be frugal in the past because my husband & I thought we may
end up moving to Chicago (which seems to still be happening) & wanted to wait until we moved to
buy. (We'd sold all of our furniture from our home in California before moving to Texas ). So, here's
a few images that have inspired me.  I'm thinking whites, taupe, beige & gold!

How sexy and glam is that?!
